St Ives Penzance shares more of their favourite Cornish blogs.
You may have caught our previous posts; part one and two our favourite blogs in Cornwall. We’re very excited to say we’ve discovered even more wonderful Cornish blogs, from foodie fanatics to adventurers and storytellers. We highly recommend giving each one of the following Cornish blogs a read…
The Hedge Combers – A Field to Fork Foodie Adventure
Janie is a food writer, photographer and recipe creator who started The Hedge Combers blog in 2008. Based on the south coast of Cornwall, Janie shares her passion for home cooked food, made with real produce – which wherever possible, is grown or foraged for herself. There’s so many recipes to choose from but we really like her Sloe and Blackberry Hedgerow Jam.
Tin and Thyme – Tales from a Cornish Kitchen
Choclette, from Tin and Thyme, is an award-winning vegetarian writer and recipe developer. As with Janie, Choclette is keen on using locally sourced, foraged and home grown ingredients and has been blogging since 2009. Her recipes are always enticing and unique but we’re dying to try her newest recipe; Lemon and Caraway Seed Cake.
Jam & Clotted Cream
Beth from Jam and Clotted Cream is a blogger, mum and recipe developer from Cornwall. She started Jam & Clotted Cream in 2008 because of her love of cooking and a need for a creative outlet and it’s gone from strength to strength ever since. Expect to find delicious recipes, as well as a bit about her life in Cornwall. We particularly love her scone recipe – not that we’re biased or anything!
Cornish Maid Blog
The Cornish Maid Blog is written by the lovely Laura who shares all her Cornish adventures including the best beaches, events and things to do. She’s based in Hayle, and lives with her boyfriend Chris and her adorable cat, Eddie Blaze. We really enjoyed reading her ‘How to spot a Cornish person’ blog.
The Cornish Bird Blog
Elizabeth from The Cornish Bird Blog is a freelance writer and blogger with a Cornish family lineage dating back to 1550. Her ability as a story teller is what really shines through on her blog and if you’ve never been to Cornwall, her writing captures the county’s essence to make you feel like you’re here already. Her post on Cornwall’s most photogenic spots is a must read.
