The Cornish Barn is a rustic restaurant, bar and smokehouse serving a wholesome menu with a focus on fresh Cornish produce – all helped along by craft beers and wines from local independent vineyards.
Their head chef, Neil, serves a seasonal menu showcasing Cornish produce and traditional cooking techniques. Meat and fish is cured, hung, smoked and charred for a rich and distinctive flavour, the ultimate in Cornish comfort food.
They pride themselves on using local suppliers wherever possible, like their meat from Lenterns (just up the road), fish from Matthew Stevens in St. Ives, fruit & veg from West Country in Helston, bread from Baker Toms, dairy from Mounts Bay Dairy and Cornish ales from Rebel Brewing Co in Falmouth.
To the right of the restaurant there’s a beautifully designed, cosy lounge with a plethora of soft furnishings and a wood burning fire. Here they serve an enticing menu of delicious cocktails and coffees, the perfect place to pass the time on a rainy day.
